Natural Habitat

Inhabits the tropical forest habitat. When captive, adults require a 5 gallon enclosure.

Behaviour

Most will become tame with regular handling. This species is nocturnal (active primarily at night).
VENOMOUS - Use caution!!

Captive Environment

This species is mostly nocturnal so use low light only and provide dark hiding places. Keep areas of moist moss available. For substrate use peat and vermiculite.

Temperature

Maintain a day temperature range between 77-82 degrees F and a night temperature range between 74-80 degrees F.

Humidity

This species requires moderate to high levels of humidity.

Water Requirements

Use a small shallow bowl with saturated cotton or similar.

Nutritional Requirements

This species is a carnivore (meat eater). Likes insects, crickets and other small insects. Feed every 5-7 days - do not over feed.

Note:
Enjoyable and easy to look after. Captive bred scorpions are recommended.
